Truly exquisite authentic vintage marcasite and pearl bridal hair comb.
This beautifully detailed floral vintage 1950’s marcasite piece is covered with masses of glittering pave-set marcasites. It is a high quality mid twentieth century piece, with such wonderful floral shaping. I have added delicate ivory Swarovski pearl touches to add softness and depth to the design.
The vintage piece itself measures just over 3 inches wide, and it is set on a 1.75 inch wide comb.
These large floral vintage marcasite pieces in such wonderful condition are hard to find, and this one is a wonderful example of early-mid twentieth century vintage design.
Marcasite has such a gorgeous subtle sparkle and it wonderful paired with the soft lustre of pearls. It is especially beautiful as a complement to lace accented bridal dresses. It is said that the ancient Egyptians used marcasite to calm hysteria and anxiety. So it seems the perfect bridal accessory to choose to calm the nerves on your wedding day!
